Soil Microclimate Under Control: Increasing Greenhouse Yields

In greenhouse farming in Arizona, the key to success was microclimate management. We installed digital sensors to measure soil temperature, moisture, and light intensity. This allowed us to create a detailed map of the greenhouse and precisely adjust irrigation and ventilation in different zones.

Previously, some areas showed delayed growth. Now, thanks to sensor data, we’ve stabilized the microclimate, and yields have increased by 17%. Fruits are more uniform, and taste quality has improved.

According to Frontiers in Horticulture, multi-zone microclimate monitoring promotes optimal photosynthetic activity in plants and reduces stress caused by local overheating or lack of light (Frontiers, 2023).

This is no longer just a sensor — it’s the foundation of next-generation precision agriculture.
